About the role

HammondCare is looking for volunteers to play board games and activities with residents of its residential aged care home in Scone. As a volunteer, you will help residents enjoy games such as dominoes, chess, Chinese checkers, Scrabble, card games and more, bringing fun and joy to their day and helping to reduce social isolation.

Key responsibilities

  • Play games and activities with residents, including dominoes, chess, Chinese checkers, Scrabble, card games and others.
  • Visit regularly to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
  • Meet the agreed schedule, which can be weekly or fortnightly depending on availability.

Required profile

  • Aged 18 or older.
  • An NDIS worker screening check arranged and paid for by HammondCare.
  • Availability for a one-hour visit between 9am and 4pm, Monday to Sunday.
