Belt Technician – FIFO WA Mine Site

About the role

Karlayura Personnel is recruiting experienced Belt Technicians for an ongoing roster at various WA mine sites. The role covers maintenance of conveyor systems in mining, processing, manufacturing or bulk materials handling environments. It is a FIFO position with 12-hour shifts, rostered 8:6 and 7:7, and candidates must be based in Perth.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine conveyor inspections and identify defects, hazards and improvement opportunities.
• Inspect, replace and maintain conveyor rollers, idlers, belts and associated components.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on conveyor systems.
• Keep work areas clean and tidy, and report and fix equipment defects according to site procedures.
• Support asset management programs through accurate maintenance reporting and equipment history updates.
• Complete work orders and maintenance documentation in the site's maintenance management system.
• Take part in shutdowns, breakdown repairs and planned maintenance, working with operations and maintenance teams to keep equipment available.

Required profile

• Experience maintaining conveyor systems in mining, processing, manufacturing or bulk materials handling.
• White card, confined space and working at heights certificates.
• Driver's licence.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test.
