Bar Attendant / Kitchen Hand – Remote Coastal Far North Queensland

About the role

A hands-on hospitality position in a remote coastal location in Far North Queensland, with a varied role across the bar and kitchen. The position starts on 24 November 2026 and is Monday to Friday, with split shifts sometimes required. Full-time or casual employment options are available, and a complimentary flight from Cairns is included.

Key responsibilities

• Provide friendly, professional customer service across the bar, restaurant, gaming and UBET facilities
• Handle cash and process transactions accurately
• Open and close the bar, take orders, run meals and clear tables
• Maintain clean, tidy bar and public areas
• Comply with RSA and RSG requirements
• Assist chefs with general kitchen operations, wash dishes, help with basic food preparation and support kitchen cleanliness and hygiene

Required profile

• Previous Australian bar experience
• Current RSA and RSG qualifications held before starting work
• Strong customer service focus and friendly manner
• Ability to work confidently under pressure in a busy environment
• Flexible, hands-on approach and willingness to work across bar and kitchen duties

What we offer

• Casual option: $34.96 per hour, Monday to Friday
• Full-time option: $27.97 per hour, Monday to Friday, with annual leave provisions
• Staff accommodation in an own room within a shared off-site staff house
• Accommodation and five duty meals per week for $140 per week, plus one duty meal per rostered day
• Complimentary flight from Cairns
