Banking Consultant – Retail Banking (North Sydney)

About the role

As a Banking Consultant in ANZ’s Retail Banking division, you will deliver a seamless branch experience by meeting each customer’s end‑to‑end financial needs, handling transactions, conducting needs‑based conversations and educating customers on digital solutions. The role is primarily branch‑based and focuses on high‑quality service that turns customers into strong advocates for ANZ.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customers with a seamless branch experience across transactions, needs‑based conversations and digital education.
• Act as a role model and peer coach within a collaborative team to deliver the best possible customer experience.
• Contribute to a significant uplift in customer engagement and advocacy, creating real customer value.
• Participate actively in bank programs and initiatives.
• Take responsibility for ‘knowing your customer’ from a risk perspective.
• Ensure compliance with ANZ and branch policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Exceptional customer focus, with retail experience considered an advantage.
• Experience using and promoting technology, with working knowledge of digital channels.
• Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to change and ambiguity.
• Willingness to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Sound understanding of compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
