Banking Consultant – Retail Banking (Cooktown)

About the role

As a Banking Consultant in ANZ's Retail Banking division, you will deliver a seamless branch experience, helping customers meet their end‑to‑end financial needs. You will work directly with clients on transactions, needs‑based conversations and digital solutions, acting as a role model and peer coach within the team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customers with a smooth branch experience, handling transactions and advising on digital banking options.
• Engage in needs‑based conversations to understand and fulfil customers' financial goals.
• Support bank programs and initiatives that drive customer engagement and advocacy.
• Maintain a strong ‘know your customer’ approach from a risk perspective.
• Ensure compliance with ANZ and branch policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Exceptional customer focus, preferably with retail banking experience.
• Comfortable using and promoting digital channels and technology.
• Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to change and ambiguity.
• Willingness to work collaboratively and act as a peer coach.
