AVP/Finance Manager – Asia Pacific Finance Group

About the role

Lead the financial analysis team for the Australia platform, providing strategic insights, advanced modelling, forecasting and reporting to support executive decision‑making across the Asia Pacific region.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of all reporting requirements, including AASB 17 financial reporting, APRA regulatory returns, audit deliverables and tax compliance.
• Maintain a robust financial control environment, oversee regulatory engagement, and manage the regulatory reporting calendar.
• Monitor financial and statutory performance against plans, prepare underwriting and performance analysis, and support senior leadership with insights.
• Oversee tax filings and regulatory submissions, working with external advisors as needed.
• Support APAC finance leaders on new accounting standards, system enhancements and strategic projects.
• Provide coaching, mentorship and technical guidance to finance team members.

Required profile

• CPA/CA qualified with a degree in accountancy, finance or related discipline.
• Strong experience in general insurance finance, regulatory reporting and financial controls; IFRS/AASB knowledge required, IFRS 17 preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Commercially minded with strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Highly organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
