Auto Electrician Supervisor - Underground Mining (FIFO)

About the role

Barminco, part of the Perenti Group, is seeking an experienced Auto Electrician Supervisor to lead the auto electrical services for the operational low-voltage equipment at the Bellevue Gold Mine. The role is full-time on a 14/14 FIFO roster from Perth and is central to safe, productive and efficient underground mining operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise underground mobile equipment servicing and electrical maintenance, ensuring work is done safely, efficiently and in line with site service schedules and company procedures.
• Ensure compliance with HS&E requirements, pre-start inspections, SWICs and equipment maintenance standards.
• Coordinate fault reporting, repair scheduling and spare parts needs with maintenance supervisors to reduce downtime.
• Oversee servicing and repair of light vehicles, mobile machinery and air-conditioning systems, keeping service documentation and maintenance records accurate.
• Maintain high workshop housekeeping standards so tools and equipment remain serviceable, safe and compliant with underground mining standards.

Required profile

• WA Schedule 26 statutory supervisor training and certificate completed.
• Trade-qualified Auto Electrician with relevant Australian recognised certification.
• Previous underground mining experience on light vehicles and heavy mobile equipment.
• Demonstrated leadership aligned with company values, supporting team performance and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across electrical, air-conditioning and mobile plant systems.
• Knowledge of WA mining safety standards, HS&E procedures, pre-start inspections and SWIC requirements.
