Auto Electrician - Raise Bore

About the role

Barminco, part of the Perenti Group, is recruiting an Auto Electrician for its Rhino Field Service team in Western Australia. You will diagnose, repair and maintain the electrical systems on a fleet of Sandvik Rhinos used in underground mining, ensuring safe and reliable operation in challenging underground conditions. Rosters are 8/6 or 14/14 day shifts only.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, maintain and repair electrical and electronic systems
• Provide field service support to underground mine sites
• Fault-find and repair wiring, starting and charging systems, batteries and control circuits
• Carry out inspections, testing and preventative maintenance to maximise equipment availability
• Respond to breakdowns and perform repairs in confined underground environments
• Complete maintenance documentation and follow site safety and compliance requirements

Required profile

• Previous experience as an Auto Electrician with raise-borer machine knowledge
• Trade qualification as an Auto Electrician (or equivalent)
• Ability to meet site access requirements, including medical, DAS, NPC and a valid manual driver's licence
• Proof of working rights in Australia
