About the role

Ezyquip Hire is looking for an Auto Electrician in Toowoomba. The main aim of the role is to keep all Ezyquip Hire plant and equipment maintained and repaired in a timely, efficient and cost-effective way. The Auto Electrician gives technical auto-electrical advice and support to management, operating teams and their clients, and provides workplace training and mentoring to apprentices across all auto-electrical functions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and repair Ezyquip Hire plant and equipment
• Provide technical auto-electrical advice and support to management, operating teams and clients
• Perform all duties while considering workplace health and safety requirements and regulations
• Train and mentor apprentices in auto-electrical areas
• Present professionally at all times as a representative of the business

Required profile

• Trade qualification in Auto Electrics or similar
• Current C class driver's licence (manual)
• Current construction industry blue or white card
• Demonstrated experience in heavy vehicle and mobile equipment electrical and maintenance
• Proven understanding of workplace health and safety practices and regulations
• Advanced technical and mechanical skills in a variety of plant and equipment
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve complex electrical faults
• Desirable: 5+ years post-trade experience, field service experience, and ability to give direction and leadership
