Auto Electrician - Heavy Mobile Equipment

About the role

Rio Tinto is looking for qualified Auto Electricians to join its safety-focused Mobile Maintenance teams across the Pilbara operations. You will carry out planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance on an extensive fleet of heavy mobile equipment. The roster is 8 days on, 6 days off, with 7 nights on and 7 nights off, starting from Perth.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a high level of safety awareness and comply with all Rio Tinto Iron Ore Company policies and procedures
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects that increase safety while reducing risk and cost

Required profile

• Australian Auto Electrical Trade Qualification and Air Conditioning Ticket
• Commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
• Eligible to work in Australia with full working rights, without requiring sponsorship

Required skills

• Experience working on heavy mobile equipment
• Diagnostics and fault-finding ability
• Australian C class manual driver's licence (or equivalent)
