Auditor – Permanent Role in Australia

About the role

We are seeking an Auditor to join the Sime team at our Kerry Road office on a permanent, Monday‑to‑Friday basis. The role offers diverse exposure across our Motors and Industrial divisions throughout Australasia, with travel opportunities to New Zealand, South Australia, New South Wales, Melbourne, Papua New Guinea and New Caledonia.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in delivering independent reviews of business areas in line with the Group Corporate Assurance Plan, covering financial, operational, WHS and environmental systems.
• Compile audit findings, recommend enhancements to processes and draft audit reports for senior review.
• Plan and administer audit engagements, develop audit programmes and test procedures based on identified risks.
• Conduct opening and closing meetings, facilitate management acceptance of findings, and track follow‑up actions.
• Analyse root causes of findings and propose improvement opportunities.
• Support departmental administrative and periodic reporting requirements.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
• CA, CPA or CIA qualification, or actively working towards one.
• Minimum of 2 years experience supporting audit activities.
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency.

• Knowledge of audit methodology and risk assessment.
• Strong analytical and report‑writing abilities.
• Ability to communicate audit findings effectively.
