Audit Supervisor

About the role

PKF Perth is seeking an experienced Audit Supervisor to join its Audit & Assurance team. The supervisor takes ownership of complex audit engagements, works closely with Partners and Managers, reviews the work of junior team members and helps build trusted client relationships. The firm is particularly interested in candidates with Oil & Gas experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and deliver complex audit engagements across a diverse client portfolio
• Manage client relationships and act as a key point of contact during engagements
• Review audit workpapers and coach team members with constructive feedback
• Resolve technical audit issues using sound professional judgement
• Manage engagement budgets, WIP and deadlines
• Mentor and develop graduates and junior auditors
• Contribute to business development and new opportunities
• Drive continuous improvement in audit processes, systems and methodologies

Required profile

• Experienced external auditor with strong technical capability, leadership and relationship-building skills
• Ideally holds a CA, CPA or equivalent qualification
• Experience leading audit engagements as a Supervisor, Assistant Manager or Senior Auditor
• Experience auditing clients in the Oil & Gas sector
• Proven ability to lead engagement teams and review others' work

Required skills

• Strong technical knowledge of auditing, accounting and financial reporting standards
• Communication and client management skills
• Ability to identify, manage and escalate risks appropriately
