Audit Director – Business Technology

About the role

The Audit Director – Business Technology leads ANZ’s Internal Audit technology and information security capability. Reporting to the General Manager Audit – Technology & Information Security, you will provide specialist expertise on technology risk and cyber risk across business processes, systems and applications.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver specialist Technology and Information Security audit work within integrated audits across the customer value chain.
• Contribute to audit planning and scoping, identifying technology and cyber risks and aligning assurance approaches with the Technology Risk and Information Security & Cyber Centres of Audit.
• Lead and oversee the Business Technology audit team, ensuring audit procedures, conclusions and reporting are of high quality.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and act as an independent audit voice.
• Develop specialist audit capability and support Internal Audit’s strategic priorities.
• Ensure assurance approaches are consistent, risk‑focused and aligned with broader audit activities.

Required profile

• Senior leadership experience in internal audit, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Demonstrated expertise in technology risk, information security and cyber risk assessment.
• Proven ability to lead and develop audit teams.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Commitment to audit independence and high professional standards.
