Audit Associates & Senior Associates – Financial Services

About the role

EY is seeking motivated Audit Associates and Senior Associates to join its Financial Services Audit team in Sydney (and Melbourne). You will support clients in meeting reporting requirements, delivering high‑quality audit engagements and providing insightful accounting advice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead fieldwork, manage performance, coach junior team members and keep engagement leaders updated.
• Execute audit processes, assess audit risk, and address technical matters such as revenue, financial instruments and income taxes.
• Engage with clients, advise on transactions and identify opportunities to improve business processes.
• Stay current on market trends and share knowledge to develop junior colleagues.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering external audit and assurance engagements for financial services clients.
• Track record of planning, executing and reporting audits.
• Strong communication, negotiation and collaborative skills.
• Academic degree with progress toward or completion of CA ANZ or an affiliated qualification.

Required skills

• External audit experience in the financial services sector.
• Knowledge of IFRS accounting framework.
• Audit risk assessment and technical accounting expertise.
