Attorney – 13‑month contract

About the role

Join Disney's Australia & New Zealand Legal team on a 13‑month contract to provide commercially focused legal support across Disney’s diverse ANZ business, including Disney+, content sales, marketing and franchise activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal review and clearance for Disney+ marketing, social, digital, radio and eDM assets.
• Support product and platform changes, including on‑platform copy review and partner co‑promotions.
• Draft and review commercial agreements such as influencer, services, agency, sponsorship and partnership documents.
• Advise on competitions and trade promotions, preparing terms, conditions and prize fulfilment agreements.
• Handle content sales and distribution matters, negotiating licence agreements for film and television content.
• Prepare NDAs, amendments, extensions, legal research notes, memos and training materials.
• Maintain internal legal processes, policies and documentation.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with a Bachelor of Laws or equivalent.
• 3–5 years post‑qualification experience, preferably from a top‑tier law firm.
• Experience licensing intellectual property rights and advising on consumer law.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, legal research and communication skills.
• Background in media, entertainment, FMCG or brand/IP‑led business is highly regarded.
• Collaborative, curious and adaptable mindset with genuine interest in content and entertainment.
