Associate – Ops

About the role

We are looking for an Associate – Ops to deliver industry‑leading service excellence while maintaining a commercial focus that drives business outcomes. In this role you will facilitate an efficient, cost‑effective end‑to‑end claims experience, relieving stress for our customers at the moments that matter.

Key responsibilities

• Lodge new insurance claims for customers and intermediaries.
• Determine coverage through policy interpretation, questioning and analysis.
• Set clear expectations and communicate claim management process to customers.
• Negotiate and collect customer excess, educating on payment options.
• Manage claim costs by applying correct policy limits, laws and preferred repair methods.
• Respond to enquiries from customers, suppliers and repairers, focusing on cost management and timely claim progression.
• Ensure accurate, complete information is provided to customers based on claim policies.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and contribute to testing.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification (Business, Finance, Commerce) desired.
• 1‑2 years experience in general insurance and call‑centre environments.
• Strong communication skills with ability to explain information clearly.
• Ability to manage workload, meet timeframes and adhere to legislative requirements.
