Associate Mechanical Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Associate Mechanical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary engineering consultancy. You will be involved in the full lifecycle of mechanical building services projects, from concept through to completion, while supporting business development and client relationship management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services projects.
• Manage client relationships and identify opportunities for business growth.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated engineering solutions.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and other stakeholders throughout project delivery.
• Contribute to fee proposals, project planning, resource management and strategic initiatives.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and professional development for engineering staff.
• Drive quality assurance, technical standards and continuous improvement across projects.
• Support team performance and capability development within the mechanical division.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• CPEng accreditation and Design Building Practitioner (DBP) registration preferred.
• Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring and developing engineering teams.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and leadership capabilities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant Australian standards.
