Associate Leverage Capital Markets

About the role

Join Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) as an Associate in Leveraged Capital Markets, supporting innovative debt transaction solutions. You will work within the Capital Markets Group, collaborating with regional and global teams to originate and distribute leveraged finance deals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in originating Leveraged Capital Markets opportunities and support senior team members with pricing, market liquidity assessment, and syndication strategy.
• Maintain understanding of investor and sponsor requirements, underwriting risk, and ensure successful transaction execution.
• Prepare underwriting applications, market research, and client presentation materials.
• Collaborate with distribution, syndicate, and product teams across regions to optimise financing solutions.

Required profile

• 1 to 3 years of experience in financial markets, preferably leveraged finance.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Finance or related field.
• Strong analytical ability with attention to detail and a resourceful, ‘can‑do’ attitude.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
