Associate Engineer – Roads and Highways

About the role

As an Associate Engineer – Roads & Highways you will provide technical leadership and delivery expertise across complex transport infrastructure projects in North Queensland and beyond. You will mentor engineers, manage project outcomes and build strong client relationships while contributing to the growth of the Roads & Highways business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of road and highway design projects from concept through to completion.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight across multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage project scope, programme, quality and commercial outcomes.
• Develop and maintain trusted client relationships.
• Review designs, calculations and technical deliverables.
• Support project pursuits, proposals and business development activities.
• Mentor, coach and develop engineers and graduates.
• Contribute to the ongoing growth of the Roads & Highways business.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 10‑12 years’ experience delivering roads and highways projects.
• Proven project delivery experience with a passion for developing people and client relationships.
• Comfortable leading projects and providing guidance to less experienced team members.
