About the role

Clifford Chance's Disputes Group in Sydney advises on complex commercial litigation, including class actions, administrative proceedings, commercial and investment arbitrations, high-profile white-collar defence, government and internal investigations, and criminal and regulatory proceedings. The firm is a global team with experience in state, national, federal and international courts, arbitral tribunals and enforcement agencies, working with financial institutions, multinationals, private equity firms, funds and prominent individuals.

Required profile

• 4+ years of post-qualification experience and Australian legal qualifications.
• Strong background in commercial litigation.
• Exposure to contentious regulatory, class action matters and investigations is highly desirable.
• Experience advising financial institutions, banks, corporates and insolvency practitioners.
• Comfortable working on cross-border matters with a global perspective.
• Demonstrated strong academic record and high-calibre legal skills, with a developing industry reputation.
• Proven matter management, analytical and organisational capabilities.
• Enjoys collaboration across multiple practice groups and shows enthusiasm for business development and client relationship management.
• Committed to ongoing professional development and to coaching and mentoring junior team members.
