Associate, Corporate Tax

About the role

Join Grant Thornton’s high‑performing Adelaide Corporate Tax team as an Associate and accelerate your career. You will work on a diverse client portfolio, receiving hands‑on experience with tax compliance, advisory projects and M&A activities while being supported by senior partners.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review company and trust tax returns for a wide range of clients.
• Research and assist with tax consulting advice, including tax consolidation, treaties, hybrid mismatches, CFCs, withholding taxes, thin capitalisation, permanent establishments and AMITs.
• Support clients on M&A transactions, providing tax structuring and due‑diligence services.
• Assist with ATO reviews, governance matters, audits and obtaining rulings.
• Analyse technical tax issues, prepare reports and contribute to business development proposals.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Commerce, Law or related field.
• CA qualified or working towards CA qualification.
• Significant corporate tax professional services experience in Australia.
• Strong analytical mindset with commercial awareness and ability to understand client businesses.
• Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor junior team members.
