About the role

A large Australian commercial law firm is seeking an Associate-level solicitor to join its high-performing commercial disputes team. The role offers exposure to complex, high-profile litigation and a strong pipeline of work, for a commercially minded litigator who wants to deepen technical expertise, take ownership of matters and work alongside experienced practitioners.

Key responsibilities

• Work across a broad range of commercial disputes, including complex contractual disputes, regulatory proceedings and investigations, and corporate and trust disputes.
• Handle litigation before superior courts across Australia and internationally.
• Manage matters and develop drafting and litigation skills while working closely with senior lawyers, clients and counsel.
• Contribute to commercially focused outcomes in a collaborative environment.

Required profile

• 2-5 years' post-admission experience in complex commercial litigation.
• Experience managing competing priorities and working to tight deadlines.
• Excellent technical legal skills, strong academic performance and exceptional attention to detail.
• Commitment to high-quality work and the best possible outcomes for clients.
• Proactive, self-motivated and eager to learn and progress.
• Collaborative mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performing team.
