Assistant Store Manager - Sydney CBD

About the role

Amer Sports is looking for a driven Assistant Store Manager to work alongside the store manager at its newly opening Sydney CBD store, Wilson's first store in the region. The Assistant Store Manager acts as the right-hand to the Store Manager, driving the store's business success, developing the team and creating an exceptional community experience.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, develop and engage a team of Athlete Advisors (retail assistants) and Key Holders who educate the racket community on sportswear and equipment technology.
• Build community through deep relationships, with a focus on the tennis community.
• Support the team in delivering unique product experiences.
• Lead and execute visual merchandising of sportswear, footwear and hard goods.
• Help lead the full store operations experience, with a focus on the athlete and team member experience.
• Use KPI analytics to make informed decisions and create strategies for business growth and team development.
• Deliver on sales targets through strategic scheduling and coaching.

Required profile

• Demonstrated management retail experience, including fashion or sportswear retail.
• Ability to build lasting relationships with staff and customers.
• Proven success in developing team members.
• Passion for tennis or athleisurewear.
• Outstanding communication skills and a drive for autonomy in an entrepreneurial environment.
