Assistant Restaurant Manager

About the role

Join Zambrero’s vibrant team as an Assistant Restaurant Manager, helping to deliver fast, fresh Mexican food with a smile. You’ll support the Restaurant Manager in maintaining high standards across customer experience, workplace culture, and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day restaurant operations and ensure efficient service.
• Assist with hiring, training, rostering, performance reviews and employee issue resolution.
• Oversee food preparation, presentation and service quality.
• Help with stock ordering, paperwork, banking, cash handling and payroll.
• Manage cleaning schedules for production areas and dining room.
• Ensure safety and security standards are met and staff are trained in WHS.

Required profile

• Previous experience as an assistant restaurant manager.
• Passion for Zambrero’s humanitarian values and desire to make a difference.
• Commitment to building a positive, customer‑focused culture.

Required skills

• Experience with restaurant operations and team leadership.
• Ability to handle cash, banking and basic administrative tasks.
