Assistant Production Coordinator

About the role

Hunter Douglas is seeking a full‑time Assistant Production Coordinator for its Rydalmere, NSW facility. You will support the fashion and textile design production processes, leading daily assembly operations while driving efficiency, quality and safety across the factory coverings line.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and update daily production schedules, job lists and workflow plans.
• Ensure work orders, cut sheets and production documentation are accurate and readily available.
• Track order progress and follow up on delays, shortages, rework or sequencing issues.
• Coordinate material availability with warehouse teams and maintain component records.
• Maintain production boards, reporting templates and quality documentation.
• Support continuous‑improvement activities, including HDMS reporting and 5S audits.
• Act as a liaison between Production, Customer Service, Warehouse and Quality teams.
• Support WHS administration, including safety records and incident follow‑ups.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment (blind‑making experience highly regarded).
• Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with schedules, data and structured processes.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced production setting.
• Confident communicator with strong follow‑up discipline.
• Certificate or Diploma in Business, Operations, Manufacturing or similar (preferred).
• Experience with Lean, 5S or continuous‑improvement methods is an advantage.
