Assistant Principal Religious Identity & Mission

About the role

Xavier College is inviting applications from a passionate Catholic leader for the position of Assistant Principal Religious Identity and Mission (APRIM) at its Gawler Belt (7-12) campus. The role starts in January 2027 on a fixed period of 4 years and includes a full-time, permanent teaching component, so it should be read together with the Teacher Position Information Document. The APRIM works with the Campus Principal and staff to nurture the Catholic identity and Salesian charism of the college.

Key responsibilities

• Nurture the Catholic identity and Salesian charism of the college, helping students, staff and families encounter faith in meaningful and contemporary ways
• Guide the delivery of high-quality Religious Education, supporting teaching, learning and assessment aligned with the RE Curriculum
• Lead the prayer, liturgical and sacramental life of the campus, creating opportunities for spiritual growth and faith formation
• Support the faith development of staff through reflection and professional growth
• Promote Catholic Social Teaching, social justice initiatives and ecological awareness among students
• Build relationships with families, parish communities, CESA and the wider Church community
• Contribute to the leadership, culture and ongoing development of the campus
