Assistant Operations Manager - Retail Property

About the role

An established retail property in the Capricorn Coast region needs an Assistant Operations Manager to take ownership of its day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on role covering contractor management, compliance, maintenance, capital works, budgeting and stakeholder management, working closely with the wider Centre Management team to keep the asset safe, compliant, well maintained and well presented.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate contractors, suppliers and service providers so that works are completed safely and to standard
• Support WHS, risk, essential services and statutory compliance requirements across the asset
• Carry out regular centre, contractor, cleaning and tenancy inspections
• Manage day-to-day maintenance, planned preventative maintenance and asset information
• Assist with operational and capital expenditure, purchase orders, budgeting and the delivery of capital works
• Build relationships with retailers and key stakeholders while handling day-to-day operational matters

Required profile

• Proactive, organised and hands-on, confident taking ownership of operational matters in a retail property environment
• Ideally previous experience in property operations, facilities, building services or a similar environment
• Exposure to contractor management, compliance and statutory requirements
• Good understanding of building operations and WHS
• Strong organisational and time-management skills
• Confident communicating with retailers, contractors and other stakeholders
• Correct working licence/visa to apply
