Assistant in Nursing (Casual) - Group Home

About the role

Northcott, a not-for-profit disability service provider, is hiring multiple Assistant in Nursing staff on a casual basis to join its team in Kellyville. The role provides high-quality, person-centred support and care to participants, including those with complex care needs, while promoting dignity and respect.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with personal care, hygiene and daily living tasks, including domestic duties.
• Support customers with complex care needs.
• Work on a 24/7 rotating roster, including overnight, weekends and public holidays.

Required profile

• At least one year of experience in disability or aged care, particularly in group home settings.
• Proven experience in PEG feeding and safe swallowing support, epilepsy management and responding to challenging behaviour.
• Experience providing bowel care support and assisting with personal care and grooming.
• A current Australian driver's licence and the ability to drive a 12-seater, wheelchair-accessible van.

Required skills

• Manual handling competency, including hoist operation and repositioning.
• Flexibility, compassion and confidence in a team environment.
