About the role
The Assistant Fresh Manager supports the Fresh department in delivering a consistently good shopping experience. This entry‑level leadership position is part of Woolworths Group’s Store Leadership Pathway, offering hands‑on experience in department operations and team management.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the Department Manager in daily store operations, stock replenishment and merchandising.
- Ensure a safe environment for customers and team members by following store safety procedures.
- Engage with customers using Everyday ACTs – Acknowledge, Care & Thank.
- Collaborate with other departments to create a seamless shopping experience.
- Support team members through coaching, scheduling and performance feedback.
Required profile
- Strong desire to learn department operations and support the team.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
- Interest in developing a personal leadership style.
- Commitment to safety and customer service excellence.
Required skills
- Basic understanding of retail processes and stock handling.
