Assistant Food & Beverage Manager

About the role

Join the Oaks Melbourne on Market Hotel team as an Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, supporting the F&B Manager in delivering outstanding dining, bar and event experiences for guests in the heart of the city.

Key responsibilities

• Support daily operations of all food & beverage outlets, including restaurant, bar and conference spaces.
• Lead, mentor and develop team members to ensure high‑quality service.
• Maintain operational excellence, hygiene, safety and compliance standards.
• Manage staffing levels, rosters and supervise shifts.
• Assist with stock control, ordering and cost management.
• Help execute functions and conferences, ensuring client satisfaction.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a leadership F&B role within a hotel or hospitality venue.
• Strong communication, leadership and organisational abilities.
• Passion for guest experience and service excellence.
• Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and evenings.
• RSA Certificate (mandatory); Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (preferred).

Required skills

• RSA certification.
• Food Safety Supervisor certification (preferred).
