Assistant Educator (Early Childhood)

About the role

Eden Academy Seaford is seeking a passionate Assistant Educator to join our early childhood team. You will work in a safe, nurturing environment that encourages children to explore, learn, and develop independence.

Key responsibilities

• Support the lead educator in planning and delivering engaging learning experiences aligned with the EYLF.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating indoor and outdoor play environment for up to 123 children.
• Observe and document children’s progress, fostering curiosity, resilience, and self‑awareness.
• Build positive relationships with families and the local community.
• Assist with daily routines, including meals, rest times, and transitions.

Required profile

• Diploma or Certificate III in Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA‑approved equivalent).
• Current Working with Children Check.
• Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.
• Australian working rights and professional presentation.
• Two professional references, one from a childcare or education supervisor.

Required skills

• Knowledge of EYLF and National Quality Standards.
