Assistant Director, Service Delivery (Disability Sector)

About the role

Randstad is recruiting, on behalf of a prominent Federal Government client in the disability sector, an Assistant Director, Service Delivery (EL1) for a 12-month contract. The role sits within the Safeguarding Advisory Team and is accountable for safeguarding advice, operational coordination and risk monitoring. It leads a team that manages intake, prioritisation and workflow allocation so that safeguarding outcomes are timely, consistent and participant-centred.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and manage a team responsible for safeguarding advice coordination, risk assessment and operational support.
• Give strategic advice on the key stages of the participant pathway, specific participant cohorts and technical processes within SAP CRM and PACE business system requirements.
• Support business improvement in access and planning processes, giving expert advice to internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee workflow allocation, team capacity, intake prioritisation and performance to ensure timely service delivery.
• Provide expert leadership on complex, sensitive safeguarding matters and emerging participant risks, and report critical issues regularly to senior management.
• Drive continuous improvement and operational assurance by helping develop operational guidance, frameworks and business processes that strengthen safeguarding capability.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead and develop a high-performing team, managing capacity, priorities and performance.
• Strong capability in navigating complex safeguarding matters, risk assessments and risk management frameworks within the disability sector.
• High-level communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of influencing across operational and executive forums.
• Experience developing operational guidance, business processes or governance arrangements, and leading business improvement or organisational change.
• Understanding of safeguarding principles, relevant legislation and government decision-making processes.
• Australian citizenship is required.
