Assembly Team Leader

About the role

Lead the Assembly team on the afternoon shift (3pm‑11pm, Monday‑Friday) at Dyno Nobel’s Helidon site, ensuring safe, cost‑effective operations that meet business and customer requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day activities, allocate operators to tasks and build accountability.
• Mentor, coach and develop team members while contributing to site leadership.
• Lead health, safety and environmental compliance and approve direct‑team leave.
• Drive continuous improvement, support performance management and ensure accurate paperwork and on‑time order production.
• Communicate quality issues and suggest equipment or process improvements.

Required profile

• Commitment to a safe, inclusive and high‑performance culture.
• Experience managing a team in a manufacturing environment.
• People‑management, coaching and mentoring abilities.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and performance‑management capability.
• Queensland driver licence and Queensland Security Card (or ability to obtain).

Required skills

• Competency in Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of SAP S&D/PP (desirable).
