APS5 Systems Analyst (Contract)

About the role

Peoplebank, part of RGF Staffing ANZ, is recruiting on behalf of its Federal Government client, Services Australia, for an APS5 Systems Analyst. This is a long-term contract based in Canberra, Australia, and is open to Australian citizens who can obtain a Baseline Security Clearance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and evaluate business processes and system requirements, and translate them into technical specifications and ICT solutions.
• Configure systems to support business and technical outcomes, and support the design, development and implementation of ICT solutions.
• Prepare and maintain solution documentation, specifications and technical reports, and assist with quality assurance reviews.
• Conduct testing activities, including test planning, execution and coverage reviews.
• Perform technical assessments, identify risks, impacts and benefits, and support system improvements, enhancements and change management.
• Monitor solution performance, collaborate with business stakeholders, developers and testing teams, and support operational activities.

Required profile

• Experience defining, documenting and managing business and system requirements, prioritising requirements and maintaining traceability.
• Experience designing moderately complex software applications or components, including user and system interfaces, and contributing to architecture discussions.
• Preferred: previous experience in Federal Government or large-scale enterprise environments, and knowledge of ICT governance, information management, privacy, security and compliance.
• Desirable: experience supporting feasibility assessments, options analysis and user testing.
• Australian citizenship with ability to obtain Baseline Security Clearance.
