Senior Cyber Security Solution Architect (Government Projects)

About the role

A Canberra-based consultancy seeks a Senior Cyber Security Solution Architect to design and implement advanced security architectures for important government-related projects. This is a casual, ongoing position working onsite with top security technology, on a 12-month contract with a possible extension to 24 months. Remuneration is competitive, around $220,000, depending on experience and competence.

Key responsibilities

• Create and deploy comprehensive cyber security architectures suited to public sector and defence-related environments.
• Develop security frameworks across on-premises, cloud and hybrid infrastructure, in line with Australian government security guidelines.
• Apply identity and access management techniques using widely recognised vaulting technologies such as HashiCorp Vault and CyberArk.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to deliver scalable, secure and compliant solutions.
• Take part in security evaluations, regulatory compliance reviews and continuous improvement aligned with national security standards.

Required profile

• Active high-level government security clearance.
• Proven ability to design, implement and manage enterprise cyber security architectures.
• Experience delivering ICT security solutions in government, defence or national security sectors.
• Australian permanent residency or citizenship; sponsorship and work visas are not accepted.

Required skills
