Apprentice Painter – Hospital Maintenance

About the role

Kick‑start your career in painting and decorating with Metro South Health. As an Apprentice Painter you will gain hands‑on experience while working towards a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating, supporting the maintenance of hospital facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Complete on‑the‑job training alongside formal vocational study through an approved registered training provider.
• Prepare, paint and apply protective and decorative coatings to internal and external surfaces across hospital sites.
• Contribute to the upkeep of safe, functional and well‑maintained hospital environments for patients, staff and the community.

Required profile

• Motivated, reliable and eager to learn, currently undertaking or willing to undertake vocational training towards a Certificate III in Painting and Decorating.
• Clear communicator, both verbally and in writing, able to work constructively with colleagues and stakeholders.
• Flexible, self‑motivated team player who can work across multiple Metro South Health sites.
