About the role
The Wickham Boatshed is seeking an Apprentice Cook to join its busy kitchen team. This position offers hands‑on training in a fast‑paced environment, with work schedules that include weekends.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the chef in preparing and cooking meals.
- Operate commercial cooking equipment such as mixers, steamers, fryers, ovens and stoves.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, including dishwashing, equipment cleaning and sanitation.
- Support food preparation, storage and other kitchen tasks under supervision.
Required profile
- Passionate about the food industry.
- Punctual, reliable and flexible to work different shifts.
- Well presented and a strong team player.
Required skills
- Basic culinary skills.
- Knife skills.
- Knowledge of ingredients.
- Use of commercial kitchen equipment.
