Applied AI Architect (Pre-Sales)

About the role

Anthropic Australia is looking for an Applied AI Architect, a pre-sales role focused on becoming a trusted technical advisor for large enterprises across Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. You will help customers understand the value of Claude and show them how to integrate and deploy it into their technology stack, combining deep technical expertise with customer-facing skills. You will work closely with Sales, Product and Engineering teams, guiding customers from technical discovery through deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with account executives to turn customer requirements into technical solutions aligned with business objectives
• Act as the primary technical advisor to enterprise customers from discovery and evaluation through deployment, coordinating across teams and stakeholders
• Support customers building with both the Claude API and Claude for Work
• Create technical content ranging from deep technical dives for engineering teams to business-value conversations with executives
• Guide architecture decisions and help customers integrate Claude into their existing stacks
• Help customers build evaluation frameworks to measure Claude's performance
• Share integration pattern insights with Product and Engineering teams
• Travel occasionally within Australia and the APAC region to customer sites for workshops and technical deep dives
• Collaborate across time zones with global teams while serving as the technical expert for the Australia market

Required profile

• 10+ years in technical customer-facing roles such as Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer or Technical Account Manager
• Enterprise customer experience in Australia or the APAC region, with complex multi-stakeholder buying cycles
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to C-suite executives, engineering and IT teams and others
• Ability to work across cultures and time zones in a global team

Required skills

• Experience designing scalable cloud architectures and integrating with enterprise systems
• Comfortable with Python
• Familiarity with common LLM frameworks and tools, or a background in machine learning or data science
