Android Software Engineer – AI Neobank App

About the role

We are seeking an Android Software Engineer to shape the native Android experience of Doit’s AI‑powered Neobank app. You will work remotely from Australia, collaborating with product, design and backend teams to deliver fast, reliable, and user‑centric financial services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and ship Android features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Create clean, intuitive mobile flows for insurance, payments, claims, renewals and other financial services.
• Integrate backend REST APIs, ensuring stability, security and reliability of mobile interactions.
• Monitor and improve app performance, crash rates, loading states, responsiveness and memory usage.
• Leverage analytics and production data to iterate on user experience.
• Implement AI‑assisted features with on‑device TensorFlow Lite where they add genuine value.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional Android development experience with Kotlin.
• Strong grasp of Android fundamentals and a track record of shipping production apps.
• Deep knowledge of Jetpack libraries, Coroutines, Flow and modern Android architecture.
• Solid understanding of mobile UX, edge cases and user‑flow design.
• Experience debugging production issues and integrating REST APIs.
• High ownership, fast execution and meticulous attention to product quality.
