Analyst - Private Tax

About the role

Join Deloitte's Private Tax team in Melbourne and work on complex domestic and international tax transactions for some of Australia’s largest privately owned businesses and family offices. You will support Directors and Managers with day‑to‑day income tax affairs and provide high‑quality, value‑adding tax advice.

Key responsibilities

• Work on complex domestic and international tax transactions, including cross‑border investments.
• Assist Directors and Managers with day‑to‑day income tax compliance for a broad range of clients.
• Provide tax structuring, restructuring, and asset protection advice.
• Handle tax controversy, governance, and complex transaction matters.
• Advise on inbound Australian investment and outbound investments across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.

Required profile

• Degree in Commerce and/or Law.
• Completed or near‑completion of CA qualification or Graduate Diploma of Taxation.
• At least 2.5 years of experience in a professional services environment.
• Strong collaboration, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiasm, passion for learning, and a self‑starter attitude.
