Analyst, Global Treasury Investments

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join IFM’s Global Treasury Investments team and develop your career in a hands‑on, global markets environment. You will work alongside experienced investment professionals in Australia and New York, gaining direct exposure to FX, money markets, liquidity management and fixed‑income trading.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in the execution and management of FX and money‑market portfolios across global markets.
• Monitor global markets, liquidity conditions and macroeconomic developments, translating movements into actionable insights.
• Collaborate with Australian and New York trading desks, providing cross‑market and cross‑time‑zone exposure.
• Develop expertise across FX, interest rates, liquidity and market risk, and gradually take on greater trading and portfolio‑management responsibilities.

Required profile

• 1–5 years of experience in financial markets, preferably in FX, rates, derivatives, money markets or fixed income.
• Experience within a bank treasury, trading team, superannuation fund, asset manager or similar environment.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with the ability to interpret fast‑moving markets.
• Relevant degree in finance, economics, mathematics, commerce or a related discipline; CFA studies or postgraduate qualification is a plus.
