Aluminium Window and Door Fabricator

About the role

A family-owned Perth business manufacturing premium aluminium windows, doors and custom glazing solutions since 1972 is looking for applicants with experience in window manufacturing and assembly to join its production team in Bayswater. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in their workmanship and works from detailed drawings and specifications, as the client makes custom architectural products rather than high-volume standard windows. The position is paid $37 per hour full time plus penalties, Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm, with an immediate start.

Key responsibilities

• Work alongside the Production Manager and Factory Foreman to fabricate and assemble custom aluminium windows, doors, frames and components.
• Read and interpret production and fabrication drawings, cutting information and job specifications.
• Cut, machine, drill, route and assemble aluminium components; install hardware, seals and gaskets.
• Use CNC equipment, workshop machinery, hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Check dimensions, configuration, handling and components throughout fabrication, and self-check finished work for accuracy, finish, squareness, operation and completeness.
• Report drawing, material or component discrepancies early, minimise rework and waste, and keep the workstation clean and safe.

Required profile

• Ideally previous experience in fabrication, manufacturing, assembly or a relevant trade.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality, good time management and a positive attitude.

Required skills

• Strong practical and measuring skills.
• Confidence with hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read and follow drawings and written instructions.
• Highly regarded: aluminium window and door fabrication, Alspec or similar commercial aluminium systems, CNC machining, and reading detailed architectural or fabrication drawings.
