All Round Operator - Gold Field Operations

About the role

Northern Star Surface Mining (NSSM), the newly established entity of Northern Star Resources, is seeking experienced All-Round Operators for its Gold Field Operations. The work involves operating heavy equipment in an open pit production environment, flying in and out of Perth on a 2/1 roster of rotating day and night shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a D10 dozer, grader, large wheel loader and/or batter excavator in an open pit production environment.
• Complete pre-start checks, monitor equipment performance and report defects or safety issues.
• Operate multiple pieces of equipment across loading, hauling, stockpile management, road maintenance and pit development.
• Maintain safe dig and dump areas in line with mine plans and traffic management procedures.
• Liaise with supervisors, dispatch and other operators to meet production and safety targets.
• Follow site procedures, hazard controls and environmental standards, and contribute to a strong safety culture.
• Assist in mentoring less experienced operators and support a team-focused environment.
• Record production data accurately and communicate clearly during handovers.

Required profile

• Current "C" Class Western Australian driver's licence.
• Proven experience operating in a production mining environment.
• Ability to work in a team and adapt to changing operational requirements.
• Eligibility includes a medical assessment, drug and alcohol screening, valid Australian work rights and a national police clearance.

• Versatility across multiple equipment types such as dozers, graders and loaders.
• Strong commitment to safety and sound knowledge of mine site procedures and traffic management.
