Boilermaker - Mining Equipment Workshop

About the role

Barminco is hiring a Boilermaker for its Hazelmere workshop, where you will help deliver high-quality fabrication, welding and maintenance services across a fleet of underground mining equipment. The roster is 5:2, Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned and breakdown maintenance on underground mining equipment and infrastructure
• Inspect, maintain and repair buckets, booms, trays, guards and other critical components
• Conduct crack testing, gouging and rebuilds to OEM and site standards
• Complete pre-start checks so equipment is safe and compliant for operation
• Record maintenance activities accurately and report defects or hazards
• Work with maintenance teams and supervisors to minimise equipment downtime

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Boilermaker (mining experience highly regarded)
• Trade qualification in Engineering Fabrication (Boilermaking/Welding)
• Ability to meet site access requirements, including medical, DAS, NPC and a valid manual driver's licence

Required skills

• Strong welding and fabrication skills (MIG, Stick, Flux Core experience preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
