Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Structures) - Defence Aviation

About the role

Sigma Aerospace Workforce is recruiting an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (Structures) to support Hawk Lead-In Fighter (LIF) defence aviation maintenance at Pearce, Western Australia. This is a permanent full-time position suited to a structures AME with strong maintenance discipline, experience working to approved procedures and the ability to work in a defence aviation maintenance environment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out aircraft structures maintenance tasks in line with approved maintenance data and procedures
• Support scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities on Hawk LIF aircraft
• Inspect, repair and maintain aircraft structural components and assemblies
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow defence aviation maintenance requirements
• Work safely as part of a structured engineering and maintenance team

Required profile

• Aircraft structures maintenance experience in an aviation maintenance environment; defence aviation, fast jet or Hawk LIF experience highly regarded
• Relevant Aircraft Maintenance Engineer qualification, structures trade background or equivalent defence aviation maintenance training
• Australian work rights and ability to meet defence aviation employment and site access requirements
• Based at Pearce, WA, or willing to relocate for a permanent full-time role
• NV1 clearance required; current driver's licence preferred
