AI Engineer & Data Scientist Consultant (VIE)

About the role

Within the AI & Data Business Unit in Sydney, you will help clients transform business processes through Artificial Intelligence, Generative AI, and Data Science. You will design, build, and deploy AI and data solutions that deliver measurable business value.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the GenAI Solution Architect in designing scalable and secure AI solutions.
• Develop applications powered by foundation models, ensuring compliance with regulations such as GDPR and the EU AI Act.
• Design prompting and orchestration strategies to improve reasoning, controllability, reliability, and user experience.
• Design and optimise Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) systems using enterprise knowledge sources and semantic search.
• Develop and optimise agentic AI systems with frameworks like LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or Semantic Kernel.
• Build explanatory and predictive models using supervised, unsupervised, econometric, time‑series and reinforcement‑learning techniques.
• Apply deep‑learning methods for NLP, computer vision and speech‑to‑text/text‑to‑speech tasks.
• Design and deploy LLM‑based solutions (GPT, Claude, Mistral) and create conversational assistants or autonomous agents.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in engineering, computer science, AI, statistics, econometrics or related field.
• At least one year of technical experience in Data Science, Big Data or AI solution development.
• Proficiency in Python programming and code versioning.
• Strong interest in AI and data challenges with a willingness to take responsibility quickly.
