Agitator Driver

About the role

Heidelberg Materials is hiring an Agitator Driver in Campbell's Creek. You will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of ready-mix concrete to construction sites, ensuring product quality and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and drive a concrete agitator truck safely and in line with traffic laws and company policies.
• Carry out pre-trip and post-trip inspections (fluids, tyres, lights, brakes) and report defects.
• Load concrete mixes from the batch plant, checking the correct type and quantity.
• Transport concrete to sites on time and discharge it accurately, following customer instructions and site safety rules.
• Clean the agitator drum and truck exterior after each delivery.
• Communicate with dispatch, plant staff and customers about schedules, site conditions and issues.
• Maintain delivery logs with mileage, delivery times and quantities.
• Follow safety regulations and environmental policies, and carry out minor maintenance and report major repairs.

Required profile

• Valid Class 2 or equivalent heavy vehicle licence with a clean driving record.
• Proven heavy vehicle driving experience, preferably with concrete agitator trucks.
• Good knowledge of concrete properties and safe handling.
• Ability to read maps, follow directions and navigate to sites.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Physical fitness for climbing in and out of the truck, operating controls and cleaning.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
