Aged Care Facility Cleaner (Full-Time)

About the role

Challenger Services Group is seeking a dedicated full-time Aged Care Facility Cleaner for its site in The Ponds, NSW. Working in a residential aged care environment, you will help keep the home clean, safe and welcoming, supporting the health, comfort and wellbeing of residents. The shift runs Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 3:00pm, with no weekend work. There may also be an opportunity to progress into a Team Leader position.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and maintain resident rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, dining rooms and staff facilities
• Carry out routine cleaning such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, sanitising surfaces and waste removal
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and presentation
• Follow infection control procedures and safe cleaning practices, and disinfect high-touch surfaces
• Restock consumables such as soap, paper towels and toilet paper
• Report maintenance issues, hazards or equipment faults to supervisors
• Work respectfully around residents, visitors and staff

Required profile

• Previous cleaning, housekeeping, hospitality, healthcare or aged care experience preferred but not essential
• Pride in delivering high cleaning standards
• Reliable, organised and able to manage their workload
• Strong attention to detail and time management
• Initiative, accountability and a positive attitude
• Valid Police Check or willingness to obtain one; valid NDIS Worker Screening Check or willingness to obtain one (mandatory)
• At least two COVID-19 vaccinations and a current influenza vaccination (mandatory)
