Advanced Trainee Registrar - Sexual and Reproductive Health, Obstetrics & Gynaecology

About the role

Logan Hospital is recruiting an Advanced Trainee Registrar in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, based in the Brisbane-South/Logan area. The role develops advanced clinical, procedural and leadership skills across obstetrics, gynaecology and sexual and reproductive health, with the chance to complete the Sexual and Reproductive Health Advanced Training Pathway (SRH-ATP) and the Essential O&G Skills Advanced Training Module, with further RANZCOG modules available.

Key responsibilities

• Gain specialist experience in sexual and reproductive health clinics, contraception services, termination of pregnancy clinics and surgical procedures.
• Develop advanced procedural skills through theatre sessions, specialist clinics and exposure to ultrasound-guided procedures.
• Build academic, administrative and professional capabilities, with protected administration time for ongoing development.

Required profile

• Motivated medical practitioner committed to safe, compassionate, evidence-based patient care.
• Appropriate clinical knowledge, assessment skills and procedural capability, including management of acute presentations within the level of training.
• Integrity, empathy, accountability and a commitment to culturally respectful, patient-centred care and continuous improvement.
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, and a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary care.
