Admissions Officer

About the role

The Admissions Officer (classified as ANU Officer 5, Administration) works under the general direction of the Admissions and Student Compliance Coordinator and is part of the Accredited Program Support Unit in the College of Science and Medicine. The unit supports the delivery of accredited teaching programs run by the ANU School of Medicine and Psychology. The officer is accountable for applying admissions policies and procedures consistently and accurately, keeping communication and processes timely, and maintaining a high standard of professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Support the admissions processes of the School of Medicine and Psychology
• Ensure admissions policies and procedures are applied consistently and accurately
• Maintain timely communication and processes
• Work closely within a team on detailed work with high volume

Required profile

• Experience applying policy consistently and with a high attention to detail
• Experience working with high volumes of detailed work and within a team
• Strong communication skills
• Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage competing priorities independently and collaboratively
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach and ability to identify and resolve issues
• Rights to live and work in Australia, with mandatory pre-employment declarations and background checks

What we offer

• Salary package of $89,760-$97,918 per annum plus 17% superannuation
• Full-time, continuing position
